Privacy notice
Baseline pending legal review — this notice describes the site’s current data handling in plain language and will be finalised with professional legal advice before launch.
What we collect
This site collects personal information in two places only:
Contact form — your name, email address, optional organisation, enquiry type and message, so your enquiry can be answered.
Newsletter signup — your name and email address, so occasional letters about new books, faith and history can be sent to you.
No account is created, no profile is built, and no information is bought in from elsewhere.
Cookies and analytics
This public site sets no tracking cookies. The signed-in administration area uses a session cookie solely to keep authorised users signed in; it is never set for ordinary visitors.
If privacy-respecting analytics are introduced, they will be listed here before they are switched on.
How long information is kept
Contact enquiries are retained for 90 days. At the end of that period the message body and personal details are removed automatically; a minimal record that an enquiry was received and handled is kept for administrative purposes.
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter email will include a working unsubscribe link.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, send a message via the contact form choosing “Other” and your request will be handled without charge. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Who to contact
This website is operated by the author Michael J. Fallon. Privacy questions and requests are handled through the contact form; they are treated as confidential and answered as quickly as possible.
To make a request, use the contact form.
